| Classical Pilates The Pilates Method is a well-known movement system, which has a proven successful track record for over 70 years of creating health and well-being. It was developed in the 1920's by the legendary Joseph H. Pilates as 'Contrology' or the art of control, precision, breathing and flowing movement. It is a movement system focused on improving flexibility and strength for the total body without building bulk - it engages your body and mind. Pilates can be performed on specifically designed exercise apparatus to assist you develop strength, or on the mat. |

| Level Descriptions * Beginners - The class to begin building your foundation for a successful understanding of your body and the Pilates Method. * Intermediate - The basic Pilates exercise regime in a well-rounded workout to train co-ordination, increased capacity, improved strength, precise control, concentration, and 'moving from your centre'. * Advanced - A more challenging Pilates workout adding new exercises and progressions. A workout to achieve improved strength and muscle endurance, and to improve on flow, precision and 'deepening' into the exercises. |
