Pilates Mat Classes

Classical Pilates
The Pilates Method is a well-known movement system, which has a proven successful track record for over 70 years of creating health and well-being. It was developed in the 1920's by the legendary Joseph H. Pilates as 'Contrology' or the art of control, precision, breathing and flowing movement.
It is a movement system focused on improving flexibility and strength for the total body without building bulk - it engages your body and mind.
Pilates can be performed on specifically designed exercise apparatus to assist you develop strength, or on the mat.

Regardless of your current level of fitness, from sedentary office worker, home executive to fitness enthusiast -
Pilates can be your primary mode of body conditioning and injury prevention.

Improved posture, muscular balance, control & precision, enhanced energy and improved mental concentration, assistance in healing muscular and soft tissue, lengthening and strengthening muscles, flowing movement, efficient breathing, injury prevention and a fun workout.
Bookings are essential!
* Register each term for a specific class (that is, day and time)
* If unable to attend a specified class, it is permitted to attend another class within that week if space allows
(please ring and notify).
Level Descriptions
* Beginners - The class to begin building your foundation for a successful understanding of your body and the Pilates Method.
* Intermediate - The basic Pilates exercise regime in a well-rounded workout to train co-ordination, increased capacity, improved strength, precise control, concentration, and 'moving from your centre'.
* Advanced - A more challenging Pilates workout adding new exercises and progressions. A workout to achieve improved strength and muscle endurance, and to improve on flow, precision and 'deepening' into the exercises.

  • 11 weeks $90.20

Term 4:                 15th October – 14 December

  • Monday 8 weeks $65.60
  • Tuesday/Thursday 9 weeks $73.80
