Raise up n Represent
‘Raise up’ is a youth programme that has been designed to give youth a safe and healthy environment in which to relax and socialise.
The aim is to support youth, to encourage personal ownership and leadership, and to foster a sense of pride and respect for themselves and the communities in which they live.
We offer a unique opportunity in our Raise up Crew to be a part of a group that organises and runs activities and events for other young people. This group made up of two young people selected from each secondary school and is mentored and facilitated by a YMCA staff person.
Events and workshops are offered to Southland youth aged 13-18 years throughout the year, and vary from Skate boarding & Rock Climbing to Interschool Socials and large scale Youth Jams.

Skate Zone
Fridays 4-6
$5.50 - for skate zone members
Have a great night on the EVO Ramp ( Half Pipe), Kicker and box, indoor skating at its best
12+ years
Limited to 15 per night so be on time !
( if your under 16 you will need a parent or guardian to sign your enrollment form.

Get an Edge Youth Leadership Programme
Leadership skills for the young
The "Get an Edge" Youth Leadership Programme in Invercargill has so far been a huge success. This programme offers teenagers an opportunity to develop personal and group skills in a programme which combines recreation, education and fun.
Junior Youth Leadership Programme
There is also a programme run for 11 to 12 year olds. This is run through selected schools, during school time. Contact your school today to see if this programme is available for your child .
Four levels (Out of school programme)
The programme runs on four levels the starting age is 13yrs for level 1 and 13-16yrs for levels 2 and 3. A level 4 is also available, but participants must have completed level 3 to be eligible.

Session Durations
Each session runs for approximately 1.5 hours per week.

Each level runs for a year.
Fees
Programmes cost $170 per year, plus there will be a small camp fee * Easy pay options and some scholarships are available.
