Engineering
This course is for 18yrs and over and is a 26 week course. Students must be registered with WINZ to enroll.
Students will work in a small group environment gaining skills and qualifications required for an engineering trade and /or further education. A National Certificate in Employment Skills can also be gained.
The course will give the student the opportunity to learn:
• Identifying different metals
• Welding using gas/tig/mig
• How to use and care for tools
• Draw and interpret sketches
• Work experience
• Hands – on environment
• Improve literacy and numeracy
